Meeting Agenda & Discussion:
This month's theme was Landscapes and we had a record display for our contest. The winner was Laszlo Heredy.  His photo of Camels Passing Through the Eye of a Mountain was taken in Petra, Jordan in the summer of 2017.  He used his iPhone 6, proving you don't need incredible equipment, just good luck and a lot of talent.

Next month's Theme is Nostalgia. Remember that Nostalgia can be a photo from the distant past or a current photo of something from the distant past.  Be creative.  Norm will be giving a presentation on methods of preserving/restoring old photos.

Childhood Photo Contest: We discussed having a contest in a month or so where members submit a school age photo of themselves. Members will try to guess who's who, with the most correct guesses being our winner.  Start looking for a photo you can submit.  You can make a digital copy of it either by taking a photo of the photo on your iPhone or smartphone, or scan the photo.

Techniques and Tips:
Dennis F gave a presentation on basic editing techniques, using Google.  The techniques (white balance, cropping, exposure, color adjustment) are available with any of the editing software tools. The slide presentation “Post Processing using Google Photos I” is posted online under LINKS TO OTHER TUTORIALS.
