For Prospective Members
Thank you for your interest in the SCS Photography Club. The club is open to any Sun City Summerlin resident with an interest in photography. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced photographers are welcome. There are no equipment requirements. Annual dues are $10 per member.
We meet the second Thursday of each month at Desert Vista (Rooms 1&2).
Our meetings are social and informational. We discuss various photographic topics and share tips and techniques (over coffee and cookies). We feature a monthly theme and encourage members to bring in photos related to the theme. Selected theme photos are displayed in the window of Community Room D at Desert Vista. In the spring, Photo Club member photos are displayed at Mountain Shadows. And we also have an annual Photo Show in the fall where members can display and may sell their photos to the general public.
We schedule regular photo field trips to provide members with an opportunity to expand their interest in photography.
We have a photo studio in Community Room D (DV), set up to take portrait and still-life photos, and available only to club members.
