Dale opened the meeting at 7:10 pm
and led the pledge.
Guest Speaker: Suzanne Rosenthal, Tap Dance Club. Suzanne extended
an open invitation to Photo Club members to photograph the Dance Club's
events. They will be holding a full
dress rehearsal on December 11th, from 10 AM to 12 AM at the
Starbright Theatre, Dress rehearsal is particularly good for photographers,
since it will be easy to move around without an audience in the way. The actual performance will be on December 13th,
7PM. In addition, the Dance Club
regularly performs both in Sun City and off-site. Photographers are more than
welcome to attend. Whether your interest
is portraits, action shots, motion, or performance videos, this would be a good
collaboration. For more information,

meeting.

There were no nominations from
the floor. Adrian C. made a motion to
accept the slate by acclamation. Seconded by Larry J. The slate was accepted
unanimously.
Photo Show & Contest: The Photo Show & Contest is November
11th, 10 AM – 3 PM.
Holiday Party: Our holiday party is December 14th,
starting at 6:00 PM. Refreshments will be desserts brought by members. Members
are reminded to bring either a home-made or a store-bought dessert for about 10
people. We will likely have our Photo Contest Winner Ceremony at the party.
Room Change: Dennis asked how members felt about moving our meeting
to one of the smaller rooms. Members
present all agreed that we should look into it.
Dennis will do so and report at a future meeting.
Field Trip Coordinator Report: Dale presented a slide show of her photos
taken at the Henderson Bird Sanctuary, along with details on how she set her
camera for the birds in flight shots.
Theme Competition: This month's Theme Competition was Weather. We had a lot of entries and several members
said choosing just one "best" was harder than usual. The winner was Larry Jones. There is no
competition next month since we have a party.
Tech Time: Dale shared a video of her cruise to the Pacific Islands.
