Minutes, General Meeting, January 12, 2017, Desert Vista

Officers Present:	Jim Bird, Pres.

Jim opened the meeting at 7 PM.

Members present: 21 and 4 guests.

Treasurer's Report: No report (financials not yet transferred to new officers).

Meeting Agenda & Discussion:

·         Field Trips (Dale) – Dale reported that we would like to hold regular monthly field trips. In January we might go to the Strip for Chinese New Year since several hotels have displays.  In February, we might perhaps go to The Venetian.. Dale asked for volunteers to coordinate the January trip. If we can arrange a field trip, members will be notified by email.  Dale described several other field trip options for later in the year. She also suggested we might have studio shoots if people are interested. Membership seemed supportive, but there were no specific volunteers.

·         January Theme Winners for "Beginnings." There were at least a dozen photos displayed. There was a tie: Jake Passer and Dennis Filangeri.

·         February Theme: Critters.

·         Tech Talk (Dennis): Dennis did a presentation on how members can easily access our new Photography Club website, blog, and Facebook page.  His presentation will also be available with audio as a YouTube on our website. Members can call Dennis at 702.473.1153 if they have questions.

·         Photo Lab Display: Members were asked to lend us their January theme pictures for display in the Photo Lab window for the month.

·         Refreshments for February: The cost of refreshments is reimbursed by the club, but we need volunteers to arrange for refreshments and set up. Sue Stevens volunteered for February. We will need volunteers monthly.

·         Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
